Minnesota contestant wins $1 million prize

Jacquie Berg, a Woodbury, MN native, is competing to win season 17 of Survivor – Gabon. Watching all episodes of every season (except the 1st) we’ve become experts at predicting who will be the sole survivor. Here’s why we predict that Jacquie will win:

She’s from Minnesota. Yes we’re a bit biased. Although we don’t personally know her it means she’s probably very nice and will easily fly under the radar.

She worked for Medtronic as a medical device sales rep and earned 4 promotions in 3 years – meaning she’s very smart.

In training for the show she swam in the ocean and ran daily, practiced Bikram yoga and went to a mental coach to help stay grounded.

A Pioneer Press interview hinted at the fact she won.

Wait a minute – what was that last point? Reading the last quote of the article closely, Berg mentions that she’s making the adjustment back to real life after her trip to Africa.

“It’s definitely a different pace of life out there in the wilderness. Now, I feel like I’m working double time because it’s like I’m catching up on a million things. I’m also writing a book and starting a charity.”

Catching up on a million things and starting a charity. How much money does one need to make (or win) to feel comfortable starting a charity? Stay tuned to Survivor Gabon Thursday nights on CBS and see if our prediction comes true.

UPDATE

We’ll admit defeat by saying that our pre-show suspicion was completely wrong. Unless the big twist to Survivor Gabon is that a voted off cast member comes back, Jacque Berg won’t be seeing the $1 million check from CBS this season. But while you’re here check out our other blog posts.
